After 2 years of a worldwide pandemic we are thrilled that conference and corporate business is steadily increasing and hotels and conference facilities are keen to showcase their current facilities. Many of whom have expanded and upgraded their facilities during the last 2 years. Some members of the PCO Alliance Network attended a 3-day educational tour in KZN from 27-29 January 2022.
During 2021, after the Capital Hotels & Apartment Group took over the previously known Fairmont Zimbali Hotel, extensive upgrades and refurbishments took place and re-launched as Capital Zimbali Hotel & Apartments. The property is looking fabulous and are very pleased to announce that they are pumping with corporate conference, as well as leisure business. Be sure to keep this property on your radar.
Umhlanga and the Gateway precinct are still expanding and welcomed 4-star Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga Arch, the 1st of this Hilton brand in South Africa, on 01 December 2020. With just over 200 bedrooms, this 4-star property is a welcome addition in Umhlanga Ridge.
We also had the opportunity to visit two of the Tsogo Sun properties, the ever popular Beverly Hills Hotel as well as Garden Court Umhlanga. Can you believe that the Beverly Hills opened its doors in December 1964, the first hotel Sol Kerzner designed, built and operated in South Africa.
