From Boats to Planes!

The legendary PCO Alliance Network Industry event was held on 18 October at the SAA Museum and The Beer Co’s HUULA Bar at Rand Airport. The event was a fantasy flight on board the SAA PCO Airliance aircraft – it was actually Lebombo, the plane that flew over Ellis Park Stadium at the 1995 Rugby World Cup.

This delightful trip was to a surprise Tropical Island. The day commenced with registration at Kopanang Hotel and Resort in Benoni, where guests received their “passports”. They were then ushered to the “VIP Lounge” where they enjoyed a delicious breakfast and Kopanong’s warm hospitality. Everyone then boarded luxury coaches provided by InterCape Coaches and were whisked off to their surprise destination.

On arrival at the SAA Museum guests were greeted on the red carpet by our First Captain Ellen Oosthuizen, and her Co-Pilot Paul Rouessart. Passengers then checked in at arrivals and received their boarding passes and delicious cocktails provided by Barmotion. After boarding this legendary aircraft, the Captain her Co-Pilot and cabin crew entertained the passengers with their somewhat unusual safety briefing.

After landing safely the Island guests were escorted to the HUULA Bar and it was party time! Fabulous Island style food was on offer and entertainment by the evergreen Abbott & Crabb was great! A wonderful day was shared with our hard working Industry partners. A big thank you to our guests for joining us and our generous Sponsors who were:
